We have sailed the C scow on Lake Michigan in 3-4 foot waves with a 12-15 MPH southeast breeze.  The boats are short enough to go up and down the swells.  Less chop than Oshkosh. 

If it is real bad on the big lake we can race inside the break water (3/4 mile legs).
